Unclaimed Profile Removal Notice
DRAFT — NOT REVIEWED BY COUNSEL Draft v0.1 · 2026-08-01. This page will be linked from the banner shown on every unclaimed creator profile. Do not publish until the [BRACKETED] placeholders are resolved and counsel has reviewed. The unclaimed-profile ingestion feature is not yet live; today all unclaimed profiles are synthetic demonstration data about fictional people.
Is there a NicheCollab profile about you that you didn't create?
NicheCollab includes "unclaimed" creator profiles compiled from publicly available information — public social-media pages and similar public sources. These profiles are clearly labeled, are excluded from search-engine indexing, and do not mean you have joined or endorsed NicheCollab. Offers sent to an unclaimed profile are never delivered to you; they are held privately and only become visible if you claim the profile.
If a profile is about you, you have three options — none of them require creating an account:
- Remove it. We will take the profile down.
- Correct it. We will fix inaccurate information.
- Claim it. Verify that you control the linked social account(s) and take over the profile — you then manage it and see any held offers.
How to request removal or correction
Email [email protected] with:
- the link (URL) to the profile;
- whether you want removal or correction (and, for corrections, what is wrong);
- confirmation that the profile is about you, or that you are authorised to act for the person it is about (agents/representatives: say so — we may ask for evidence of authority).
Verification: we only need enough to reasonably confirm the profile is about you — for example, a message from an email address or social account visibly connected to the profile, or a reply from the linked platform account. We will not ask for government ID unless there is a genuine doubt we cannot resolve otherwise, and we will delete any verification material once the request is resolved.
What happens next
- We will acknowledge your request within [X — recommend 3] business days and aim to resolve it within [X — recommend 7] business days. In all cases we will respond within the legal deadline that applies to you (one month under the EU/UK GDPR; 45 days under the CCPA).
- Removal: the profile is taken down and any held (undelivered) offers attached to it are voided. We keep a minimal suppression record (for example, the platform handle) whose only purpose is to stop the profile from being re-created by future data ingestion. If you prefer no suppression record, tell us — but the profile could then reappear.
- Correction: we update the profile and note the source of the correction.
- We do not charge for removal or correction requests, and making a request has no negative consequences.
Your legal rights
This process implements, and does not replace, your legal rights. If you are in the EU/UK, a removal request is treated as an objection under Article 21 GDPR and/or an erasure request under Article 17 GDPR; you also have rights of access, rectification, and restriction, and the right to complain to your data protection authority ([LEAD SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY TBD]; in the UK, the ICO). If you are a California resident, you may exercise your CCPA rights to know, delete, and correct. Full details: Privacy Policy, Sections 6 and 12.
Our default is to honor removal requests for unclaimed profiles without argument. [Confirm as policy: recommended — the legitimate-interests balance rarely favors keeping a directory profile over a data subject's objection; any exception process needs counsel review.]
